NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.

Year 7 students enrolling at Bulahdelah Central School can select their preference to participate in SRE lessons through the online enrolment process.
After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to Bulahdelah Central School front office, in writing or emailed to bulahdelah-c.schooldet.nsw.edu.au.
At Bulahdelah Central School, SRE is currently delivered to Year 7 and Year 8 students, on Thursdays for one hour. Primary school students are offered a 30 minute SRE lesson. No special education in ethics is offered at Bulahdelah Central School.
Combined Christian SRE classes are offered at Bulahdelah Central School, which are authorised and provided by the C3 Church and Uniting Church Australia (NSW Synod), including the authorised curriculum scope and sequence, please visit the website.

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate learning area, supervised by teachers, and will participate in meaningful actvities, including reading, revision or completing homework. No examinations will be given to students during this class time.
