Forster Young Artists Exhibition

Students from the Visual Art and Design program at Bulahdelah Central School proudly participated in this year’s highly anticipated Forster Young Artists exhibition. This annual event celebrates emerging artistic talent from schools across the region. The award ceremony was held on Sunday, 19 September at the Forster Gallery, a prominent local venue known for showcasing both established and upcoming artists.
Overall, the participation and success of Bulahdelah Central School students at the Forster Young Artists exhibition highlight the school’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent and encouraging students to explore and express their creativity through the visual arts. The event provided an excellent platform for these young artists to gain recognition and inspire their peers throughout the region.

Aiden Waters
Bulahdelah Central School’s Aiden Waters distinguished himself by winning first prize in the Year 9 and 10 category for Works on Paper. Aiden’s piece demonstrated a remarkable mastery of technique and composition, capturing intricate detail and emotional depth through his use of drawing media. His artwork stood out for its originality and refined execution, earning him top honors among a competitive field.

Jada Hall
Additionally, Year 9 student Jada Hall received a Highly Commended recognition for her creative shoe sculpture. Jada’s piece was noted for its imaginative design and skillful construction, demonstrating both artistic flair and technical proficiency. Her sculpture added a unique and personal perspective to the exhibition, earning praise from judges and attendees alike.



Corban Matheson-Clough
In the Year 9 and 10 Three-Dimensional Sculpture category, Corban Matheson-Clough achieved second place. Corban’s sculpture showcased innovative use of materials and an insightful approach to form and space. His work reflected strong conceptual meaning, engaging viewers with its dynamic structure and thoughtful craftsmanship.
